SURPRISE!!! WE ARE PREGNANT!!!

We are absolutely THRILLED to be able to share the first ever pictures and videos of "Little C," the newest member of the Carroll family! These are from our first ultrasound when Allison was at 9 weeks and 1 day...it was simply amazing! Little C's arrival is expected to be February 22nd...

A Little Reassurance...again...and AGAIN!

When it comes to a pregnacy, a little reassurance doesn't hurt right? So, following this philosophy, we managed to take four pregnancy tests in a 36 hour period. Four tests, four positives. Here is Ben with all the results...four-for-four!

We then went ahead and broke the news to Gravy that our little family is growing. It didn't appear that Gravy shared the same enthusiasm as Allison and I. I've always claimed that Gravy is a pretty intelligent canine, perhaps he is aware of the inevitable truth that he is on the verge of being OUTRANKED.

The next step after telling Gravy.....a trip to the book store!

To give you an idea for the weeks to come......this is a picture on July 26th....Happy 10 Weeks!
This is Allison now:

Mimi & Poppa Reaction!!!

The Pregnancy Announcement...so many ways to do it. You want to do it in a way that is fun, creative, and memorable. We threw around many different ideas, but once we had made our trip to the doctor and received the video of Little C's first ultrasound...we came up with what we thought was the perfect idea. Our first victims were the Burroughs, better known as Mimi & Poppa. So here is how we pulled it off: Allison concocted a story that we had made a video that we had made as a gift for Riley (our nephew) and that she wanted to let the Burroughs check out this video before we gave it to him. She asked me to "set up the camera" so they could see the video. So as they think I am doing this, Allison hits the play button on the ultrasound video and I am able to catch their reaction on our video camera.

Please push the play button below to view this priceless and perfect memory...

Nana & Ops Reaction!!!

Once the Carroll's returned from their fun in the sun in Gulf Shores, we invited them over to dinner...and to share the good news with them! Same gamplan as before: they thought they were about to see some video that we had made for Esther, Emelia, and Aubri. Click the play button below to see Nana & Ops' reaction to seeing their newest grandbaby for the first time. Once again, another perfect and absolutely priceless memory that we are thrilled to be able share!

Coming soon!

Thanks for your love and support!

Reunion and Ice Cream

The Exciting Southside Reunion was this weekend. Ben had a great time catching up and I had a great time people watching! Everyone was very nice and we had a great time! OF COURSE, I had the camera, so no pictures of us as a couple (I know....sad! I had a new dress and new tan! :)), but I did get some pics of the Southside Alumni....

This weekend, Ben also got inspired to make some Homemade Ice Cream with our Kitchenaid! We are still enjoying it....it is awesome!

The Blood Drive

I am so proud of Ben.....he gave blood today!
Anyone who knows me knows that it would be impossible for me to do such a thing without passing out and causing a big scene, so I am VERY proud of Ben!

More Pictures!

We received our CD of pictures from Beaty Photography yesterday. There is a link where you can order pictures on-line (http://www.pictage.com/682644 ); however, if you really want some, we have the disk and do not mind letting you borrow it to make copies anywhere else! Here are some that we loved!

So Much to Blog About.....

We had a blast over the 4th of July Weekend. Ben is VERY sore from how much golf he played!
Here are some highlights from the holiday weekend.....

1) Friday night we went to Springdale to see Jennifer and Jason's new BEAUTIFUL new home! After getting the grand tour we went to PF Chang's for a tasty dinner.

2) Saturday we spent the day with the Carroll's, Beller's, and Mills's! Everyone was in town and us girls got some shopping in while the boys played yet another round of golf. Hopefully we will post some pictures soon....we realized the only ones we took where with our iphones, so we are working on getting those uploaded!

3) Sunday, Ben and I were asked to substitute in the 2-year-old Sunday School class. God bless their regular teachers! That was a challenging age but we enjoyed (and survived) it! I got some up-close-and-personal experiences with Pull-up diapers and I grew a strong hatred for them! :) A man must have invented them! We did have ONE very good student, Emelia Beller. She was definitely the "teacher's pet."
Afterwards we had a spicy Cajun lunch prepared by Pam and Mike and then everyone crashed for an afternoon nap! It was a great lazy Sunday!

We had a wonderful full weekend and are so grateful for the time we had with all of our families!
